At Pura Vida we are a small salon offering personalised professional hairdressing.

Recent times called for us to adapt our business practice to enable us to move forward for the future, and some of those changes we have now made permanent. As an experienced duo, we now work separately which offers a much more personalised experience.


We like to take time with you to do a full consultation to ensure you leave our salon with your hair looking fabulous and you feeling amazing. We want you to rest assured your comfort and welfare are important to us.


It can be possible to request an appointment where it is solely you and your hairstylist within the salon. Please request this at the time of booking should you require this exclusivity, please note conditions may apply.



Meet The Team



Sarah Thatcher



Pura Vida is owned and run by Sarah Thatcher who comes from Shropshire originally where she grew up within a family business of 13 hairdressing salons.


After 15 years of experience within the salons, she was recruited by Revlon Professional and worked internationally as a specialised colour consultant and educator. Sarah trained hairdressers in all aspects of colour work, also the specialised service of colour correction.


Sarah’s role as a consultant for Revlon Professional gave her the opportunity to work alongside the industry's finest stylists. Sarah worked within the team to launch Revlon in the United Arab Emirates, also worked within the Revlon technical academies in Paris and Bologna.



Sharon Braybrook



Sharon Braybrook (formally Lilley) has 20 years of experience in hairdressing as a creative stylist and colourist.


Sharon has worked part-time alongside Sarah for over 5 years and continues to love her role within Pura Vida offering clients all aspects of hairdressing as well as being a busy Mum to two young ones.

An add-on charge will apply for straightening or curling hair with a blow dry service. Wet cut-price includes a slight blast dry. Styling and product application £10 add-on.



Hair colour is a powerful and creative element of any hairstyle. The creative colourists at Pura Vida will spend time with you doing a full consultation. This service ensures the correct service has been booked for your requirements.


The amount of hair we all have does vary considerably therefore all our colour service prices are a guide and dependant on product usage required and the time taken to achieve the desired result. A consultation is recommended for an exact quote for colour work.

Skin tests are required a minimum of 48 hours before any colour treatment. Non-refundable booking fees may be required for some services

At Pura Vida we are an appointment-only salon so you cannot just pop in anymore. Please call us for an appointment and leave us a message, we will contact you as soon as we are free to book you an appointment or answer any concerns you may have regarding your hair.


This will be before the end of the working day the message is left for us.
